From the moment I heard the name "Haval Jolion" — which literally means "First Love" — I was intrigued by the name before even seeing the car. I decided to test drive the 2021 full-option model with a 1.5L turbocharged engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The exterior is modern and clean — a compact 5-door SUV about 4.47 meters long and 1.84 meters wide — making it a great fit as a small family car. The price here is around AED 129,000 if paid in full. If you go with a 3-year installment plan with a 30% down payment, the monthly payment is about AED 2,360. With interest, the total cost comes to approximately AED 135,000. Acceleration is decent — not sporty, but definitely not slow either. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in about 9.9 seconds, which is more than enough for daily driving. Braking performance is solid and reliable — it stops smoothly from 100 km/h to 0 in around 38.7 meters. Fuel economy is excellent: on the highway, it averages 5.9 L/100 km, and in the city it’s about 7.6 L/100 km — especially with the auto start-stop feature helping save fuel at traffic lights. As for cabin noise, you’ll hear some tire and wind noise at higher speeds, but the engine runs smoothly, and at 120 km/h, the noise level is around 68 dB — not too loud. Overall, this car offers great value for money, especially for anyone looking for their first budget-friendly SUV that delivers both comfort and features.
