I've noticed people discussing car batteries a lot. When I picked up my car on November 19th, the battery was at 87%. As of today, with about 30 minutes of driving to and from work each day, it's at 73%. The dashcam is connected to the fuse box and is in time-lapse recording mode. Does this count as battery drain or is it normal?

To check the battery charge level, you can usually look at the battery indicator on your car's dashboard. If your car doesn't have a built-in indicator, you might need to use a multimeter to measure the voltage directly from the battery terminals. Make sure the engine is off when you do this. If you're still having trouble, you might want to consult your car's manual or visit a professional for assistance.

If you are experiencing an issue with your Mitsubishi Galant where holding the lock button causes the yellow light to come on and the window control buttons become unresponsive, here are a few steps you can try: 1. **Reset the System**: Sometimes, simply turning off the car and restarting it can reset the electronic systems, including the window controls. 2. **Check the Fuses**: Locate the fuse box and check if any of the fuses related to the power windows or central locking system are blown. Replace any blown fuses with the correct type and rating. 3. **Inspect the Battery**: Ensure that your car battery is not low on charge, as insufficient power can cause electronic systems to malfunction. 4. **Consult the Manual**: Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for any specific troubleshooting steps related to the power windows and central locking system. 5. **Visit a Technician**: If none of the above steps work, it might be best to consult a professional mechanic or visit a Mitsubishi service center to diagnose and fix the issue. Please do not attempt to fix any electrical issues if you're not familiar with car electronics, as it might lead to further damage.

Are there any fellow car owners who have installed a dashcam? I bought one, but the 4S shop said they don't know how to install it. Just wondering, does the BRZ only have the fuse box in the engine compartment? How do you all get the power?

To check the fuse for the front left low beam on a Skoda, you should first refer to your vehicle's owner's manual. The manual typically contains a diagram showing the location of the fuse box and details about each fuse. In most Skoda models, the fuse box is usually located either under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment. Once you locate the fuse box, look for the diagram that indicates which fuse corresponds to the low beam lights. Make sure to replace any blown fuse with one of the same amperage.

Where do you power your dashcam from? If you don't need parking monitoring, is it better to take power from the reading light, OBD, or the fuse box?
