I'm considering buying a hybrid vehicle, but I came across some discussions about issues with the particulate filters. Are they really prone to clogging? Can any actual owners share their experiences?

If you don't want the filter to clog, just go for a petrol car.

It's just a matter of time. Someone has already blocked it.

There have been very few reports of blockages with the 2023 models of Baikai. Since summer, there have been a few cases with the 2024 models of Jiukai. How they perform this winter remains to be seen.

If you drive normally, it basically won't get clogged. Occasionally, you might need to use the highway.

Where is the Subaru's particulate filter located, and will short city commutes of 3-5 km cause it to clog easily?

The display indicating that the particulate filter is regenerating in your T-Cross means that the system is cleaning the diesel particulate filter (DPF). This process is normal for diesel vehicles and helps maintain performance by burning off accumulated soot. You can still drive your car while this regeneration process is ongoing.

I’ll share my personal test drive impressions of various SUVs in the same price range. Can anyone explain the difference in chassis feel between the GV70 Flagship and Luxury models? If there's someone who has driven both, please provide detailed insights! I've also tried SUVs of the same class like BBA, Volvo, and Jaguar. Personally, I think the new GLC has the best overall chassis quality, with Genesis coming in second. Genesis has the best sound insulation! The throttle response is the worst on the GLC! The X3, Q5, Genesis, Volvo, and Jaguar feel quite similar. Subjectively, the GV70 ranks in the top two for overall comfort and drivability. PS: The Q5 feels more filtered and softer. The X3 is a bit too ground-hugging and follows the road surface too much, which I don't like. Volvo is in the middle, but it has the worst sound insulation in its class! The GLC's chassis quality is great with a solid, integrated feel, but the throttle response is really lacking! The Jaguar F-Pace has a slightly firmer chassis and a more sporty driving feel, but its downside is average noise control with some resonance, and it has the smallest rear space. Genesis offers the best overall driving experience. Even with 21-inch wheels, the suspension is really excellent, and the power delivery is smooth and responsive. The space is similar to the X3.

Is the second-hand Outback from the 2020 model the best choice? It doesn't have a particulate filter and it's on the SGP platform. Can someone with experience give some advice?

Does the 2024 Highlander's particulate filter still get clogged? Fellow car enthusiasts, is your particulate filter still getting clogged? I've heard that the materials used now are better, so the chances of clogging are lower. I'm considering just replacing it with an empty shell to avoid future headaches.

I went to the Toyota 4S store yesterday to check out this car. The exterior and interior are both acceptable. I'm just a bit concerned about one thing: the particulate filter is located in the middle section of the exhaust, which is a bit far from the engine. Theoretically, since it's a naturally aspirated hybrid engine, the operating temperature is lower and the filter is farther from the engine. Wouldn't the particulate filter be more prone to clogging? What do you experts think about this issue?
