I picked up the 2024 Jetta VS5 manual on October 26th. No matter which gear I shift into, it feels stuck at the end! The fifth gear lacks power, especially uphill! On flat ground, I have to downshift in the middle of the slope to get up!! Also, it requires 95 octane fuel! The central control screen can't read USB drives!

Hope those who have picked up their cars can share the order dates, so everyone can estimate when they might get theirs [facepalm]. I ordered mine on August 9th... Will I be able to get it by early October?

I need some knowledge. This morning around 7:40, I encountered a black Tesla on an uphill section of the road, near the top where there's a traffic light. It was a red light, and the Tesla was in the second position, with me behind it. The car in front was slowly rolling back, and after I honked to alert them, the female driver snapped back, "It's a red light!" 😓. I want to learn whether the slow rollback was due to the steep slope or because the driver didn't apply the brakes.

I used to drive a Ford Focus, and now I'm driving an Outlander. The Outlander is smooth on flat roads, but there's a noticeable lag when accelerating. The Focus would respond immediately when I stepped on the gas, and the steering was precise. The Outlander's steering feels a bit heavy, and when going uphill, it makes a lot of noise but doesn't move much. Even if I increase the throttle, the engine noise is quite loud.

My 2019 Jeep 1.3T Renegade has over 73,000 kilometers. When I release the brake in reverse on a slope, there's a muffled "bang" sound with a sense of impact. It occasionally happens on flat ground too, but the sound is much quieter. Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

I just bought a car and feel like I really can't drive it [facepalm]. I accidentally rev it too high. How many RPMs do you usually shift at? Before looking at the owner's manual, I was shifting at around 5000 RPM. Now my display shows an average fuel consumption of 10.4, and after driving just over 200 kilometers, the fuel tank is empty. My goodness 🤦, I'm refilling the tank once a week now. So should I shift when the dashboard suggests an upshift? Can I just shift from fourth or fifth gear to neutral when stopping at a red light, or is it better to downshift to third gear before going to neutral?

[Shocked] What's up with this car? Starting in S mode, I floored the pedal, the RPM hit 4000 and it was still in 2nd gear without shifting up automatically. It only shifted to 3rd gear after releasing the throttle for 3 seconds.

How do I shift gears when driving a Setus down a long slope?

I have a Haima S5 with an automatic transmission, and occasionally the transmission warning light turns on. But when I press the brake, it goes off! When I try to read the error code, nothing shows up. What could be the reason?

Why has there been frequent gear lag recently? It's a 2019 model with a 1.4T dry dual-clutch. After picking up speed and then braking, the gear doesn't match the speed. For instance, it's in 6th gear at 45 km/h and 5th gear at 35 km/h, but it doesn't downshift further. It upshifts quite eagerly. Went to the 4S shop, and they said the engine isn't strong enough, and the gearbox can't be adjusted?
