Earlier, the new SAIC-GM Cadillac XT5 was officially announced, with three new models priced at RMB 265,900-335,900 (approximately SAR 141,299.26-178,497.26).
In terms of exterior design, Cadillac's new XT5 is more square and upright than its predecessor, with straighter body lines. The front of the car has been replaced by the family's latest front design, with the classic shield-shaped grille further enlarged in size, paired with a top penetrating chrome trim. The new car adopts a new shape of the split headlight group, for the top of the small LED daytime running light belt and the lower part of the LED daytime running light belt + longitudinal arrangement of the matrix light group design, the whole light group consists of multiple lenses and LED lamp beads, after lighting up the presentation of the double longitudinal arrangement, has a high degree of recognition.
The body side front and rear side fenders are paired with convex wheelbrow curves, and below the door with concave design, window trim and D-pillar part of the blackening treatment, suspension effect is obvious. Dimensions, the new car length, width and height were 4888/1957/ 1694mm, wheelbase reached 2863mm.
The rear part of the car still adopts Cadillac's classic diamond-cut style design, with a recessed licence plate frame in the centre of the boot, and chrome decorative strips connecting the tail light clusters on both sides of the car to form a penetrating style, while the rear adopts a T-shaped taillight design and smoked treatment. In addition, the rear surround also adopts a layered structure, with a two-colour design and bilateral exhaust layout.
Inside, the new car adopts Cadillac's latest yacht-style interior design, and further design optimisation in the passenger area of the dashboard, the overall coherence and sense of embrace is stronger, and for the first time equipped with 126-colour ambient lighting. 33-inch 9K one-piece curved screen with a penetrating air conditioning vents as well as a large area of metal decorations, and gearshift is adjusted to the pocket shift type. In terms of configuration, the new car provides front seat heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions, and is equipped with panoramic sunroof, full-speed domain adaptive cruise control and a number of active safety features, such as high-level features.
In terms of space, the addition of central headrests in the rear, together with the fully flat floor in the rear can easily and comfortably seat three people. The boot volume has been upgraded from 584L to 653L, which can accommodate four 28-inch suitcases.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine and a 48V light hybrid system, with a maximum engine power of 174kW and a maximum torque of 350N-m, and the transmission system is mated to a 9-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the new car according to different configurations also provides two-wheel drive version and four-wheel drive version for choice.
