Closure Notice for Road Repairs in Riyadh

According to an announcement by the Public Roads Authority, as of yesterday, 1 December 2024, the القدية road in Riyadh will be closed for maintenance work. The closure is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the security services of the Kingdom.

This closure is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior through the Kingdom’s road safety forces. The closure will be as follows:

- Closed towards Mecca for 12 days;

- Closed in both directions for 6 days;

- Closed towards Riyadh for 12 days.

The closure will extend from the security checkpoint to the Dharma – Dirab Bridge. The reason for the closure is to carry out necessary maintenance on the road. The closure will take place from 1 AM to 4 AM, with traffic being opened on weekends.

Additionally, traffic will be diverted towards Dirab. Recently, the dualization of the Al-Khurmah Ranyah Bisha road has been opened, which will help increase the road's capacity, reduce travel distances, and achieve the strategic goals of the road sector.
