2024 GWM Cannon Alpha Review: Honestly? AUSSIE UTES will NEVER be the same…

The Aussie Ute landscape will NEVER be the same now that the GWM Cannon Alpha is here… For less than a BASE MODEL 4x4 Toyota HiLux Dual Cab or Ford Ranger Dual Cab, you can get a BIGGER ute with the SAME towing capacity, similar practicality, and an interior that would make 100,000 Utes / Trucks / Bakkie’s BLUSH. The 2024 GWM Cannon Alpha is here, and is an epic – if not underpowered – take on the Ute. It sits somewhere in size between a Ford Ranger and Ford F-150 full size American truck, while starting at just over $50,000 Aussie dollars INCLUDING on-road costs… It’s also THE FIRST UTE in Australia to be sold with both a 2.4L Turbo-Diesel AND a 2.0L Turbo-Petrol Hybrid.
