Does the Corolla Hybrid start regenerative braking as soon as you release the accelerator? Wouldn't that make people feel car sick?

Does this car have regenerative braking, or is it like the Model 3, which only has regenerative braking when you release the accelerator? In other words, does this car have CRBS?

When I press the accelerator while the car is stationary, it jerks like a newbie driving a manual car. But if I let it coast a bit after releasing the brake and then press the accelerator, it runs smoothly. Does anyone know what might be causing this? ╮（╯＿╰）╭

Why does it sometimes feel like the brake and accelerator are hard when I start the car, and other times they're soft? It feels uncomfortable to drive when they're hard.
