The power of the two-wheel drive Highlander Premium Edition is quite sufficient for city and highway driving. It's a reliable option if you don't plan to go off-road. You don't necessarily need to get the four-wheel drive version unless you often drive in challenging terrains or harsh weather conditions.

If it snows a lot in your area during winter, go for a four-wheel drive. If it snows less, a two-wheel drive will do. After all, a four-wheel drive is slightly better in snowy weather.

Is the transmission of the 1.3T version of the Jeep Renegade the same as the old one? Are there any improvements in comparison, and is the failure rate high? I'm considering getting the 1.3, but there are so few four-wheel-drive options. I also don't want a naturally aspirated engine.

If you're considering buying an RDX, it's generally recommended to look for models from recent years as they tend to have the latest safety features and technology. When choosing between a two-wheel drive (2WD) top trim and a four-wheel drive (4WD), it depends on your driving conditions. If you're mostly driving on highways and in urban areas, a 2WD might be sufficient and could offer better fuel economy. However, if you want extra traction and stability, especially in adverse weather conditions, a 4WD would be a safer option. In terms of safety, newer models typically have more advanced safety technologies. Always check the specific safety features available in the model year you're considering.
