Fellow Nissan Altima owners, how do you deal with the seat odor? My car has a strong smell, and cleaning didn't help. Every time I open the door, the odor is really noticeable.

Open the window to let the sun in when it's sunny.

Hi everyone, does anyone experience a strong odor in their Trumpchi cars after being exposed to high temperatures during the day? My GS7 has a particularly strong smell after being in the sun, even though I've used activated charcoal bags and anti-formaldehyde sprays. It’s so bad that it makes me feel dizzy and I can't keep my eyes open.

Hi everyone, I have a question about my 2016 Nissan Sunny. Sometimes the car won't start on the first try, but if I turn the key off and try again, it starts. This happens every time I start the car. I've had the battery checked and it's fine, and I've also had the starter cleaned and maintained, but the problem persists. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

2021 Outlander Vehicle Odor Issue. Background: Recently, the car was parked in an underground garage for a month, and the garage was somewhat damp. Situation: An unpleasant odor, like a musty and rotten smell, has started to accumulate inside the car. Self-assessment: I've checked the interior but couldn't find the source of the smell. I also replaced the air conditioning filter, and the air blowing out doesn't have any odor. However, as soon as the car is parked for half a day and I get back in, there is a strong smell in the cabin. The car has never been submerged in water or flooded before. Question: Has anyone experienced a similar issue and can provide some guidance on how to deal with this?

French car enthusiasts, I need your help. My 2.0 engine is making a strange noise. When I accelerate gently, there's no issue, but when I accelerate sharply, there's a "da-da-da" noise at around 2000 RPM. After a few seconds, when the speed picks up, it goes away. There's no noise above 3000 RPM, only during sharp acceleration. I bought it second-hand and didn't notice this sound before. If it's not a big deal, I'll just keep driving it for now. Is the 15.6% interest rate for the Nissan Altima 2024 in February, including two years of interest, a bad deal, everyone?

Does the G80 have any interior odors? I used to drive an XC60, and it didn't have any smell at all—the cabin was very comfortable. However, Volvo's soundproofing isn't great. I took a ride in a car-hailing service today, and there was an indescribable odor inside the car. Not sure if it was a plastic smell or something else, but even though it was faint, it made sitting inside uncomfortable. I don't know how the driver tolerates it. I test drove the G80 and noticed a bit of a smell, but it wasn't unpleasant. It definitely can't compare to a new Volvo. I'm curious if the smell will still be there after one or two months. With my previous XC60, even after being parked under the sun, there was no noticeable odor inside. Any G80 owners care to share their experience?

My Experience with the Nissan Sunny After 7 Years of Ownership I consider myself one of the long-time owners of the Nissan Sunny, and honestly, I can say it’s an ideal car for beginners. It’s easy to drive, very fuel-efficient, compact in size, yet surprisingly spacious inside compared to other cars in its class. While the exterior design isn’t the most attractive, it makes up for it with excellent interior comfort. I’ve had the car for almost 7 years and haven’t faced any major mechanical issues — just regular maintenance. One time, I noticed the passenger-side sun visor wasn’t properly attached to the ceiling, but I hadn't noticed it at delivery. Recently, the driver’s side window auto-up function stopped working — now I have to hold the button manually. At the end of 2020, the original battery started to weaken. It barely started the car in the morning and then failed completely in the afternoon, so I replaced it. To be fair, the battery’s lifespan was impressive compared to other cars — some of my friends replace theirs every year or two. Yes, small Japanese sedans like the Sunny aren’t known for advanced safety features. But I had a minor accident, and the Sunny held up pretty well. I rarely go over 120 km/h, and that speed is more than enough for me. The highway noise is noticeable, which is expected in budget-friendly cars. As for power? It's enough. Perfect for beginners, and even when the car is fully loaded, it still handles daily family use just fine. Conclusion: The Nissan Sunny is practical, economical, and reliable. It's not a luxury car, but it gets the job done — and more. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a simple, affordable car that can last for years, especially new drivers or small families.

Since I got the car, I’ve driven it a few times on intercity highways and elevated city roads. At first, fuel consumption was quite high — around 12 L/100 km — but after some regular use, it dropped to 7.8. It hasn’t gone any lower since then, even though I’ve only driven about 500 km in less than a month. Honestly, every time I refuel, it stings a little 😅. This is my first car, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but driving feels smooth overall. Once you hit 100 km/h, tire noise becomes noticeable, but throttle response during overtaking is pretty decent. The thing that annoyed me most is the infotainment system. There’s no built-in CarPlay, so I bought an external adapter. While it technically works, Bluetooth is unstable, and the navigation voice won’t come through the car speakers. On top of that, the system randomly activates and starts saying weird things, and the voice assistant sometimes greets you with “Hi” and other times with “I’m here” — honestly, it feels awkward. I’m not sure if all Japanese brands do this, or just this one. As for interior space, the rear seat area is quite good, but the new car smell is still strong, so I’ve thrown in a bunch of charcoal bags to absorb it. Overall, I’m satisfied for a first car, but there are definitely things that could be better.
