As a new driver, I've only driven the 2019 2.0 model, and I find the acceleration quite sluggish. When I press the gas pedal deeply, the engine needs to reach around 1800-2000 RPM to speed up a bit, and the engine noise is quite loud. Is this normal for a naturally aspirated engine with a CVT? I tried using the DS mode, which seems to provide what I consider normal acceleration, but I noticed the RPM goes up to four or five thousand. My friend's 1.5T Geely doesn't make much noise and feels more powerful.

9French car enthusiasts, I need your help. My 2.0 engine is making a strange noise. When I accelerate gently, there's no issue, but when I accelerate sharply, there's a "da-da-da" noise at around 2000 RPM. After a few seconds, when the speed picks up, it goes away. There's no noise above 3000 RPM, only during sharp acceleration. I bought it second-hand and didn't notice this sound before. If it's not a big deal, I'll just keep driving it for now. 10Sometimes when I wait for the RPM to drop after starting the car, the engine noise is really loud. The sound gets louder or softer depending on how hard I press the accelerator, and the throttle doesn't feel as powerful as it usually does, requiring me to press it deeper. However, most of the time, this doesn't happen. After the RPM drops, the noise is normal.
