The tax difference between the 3.0T V6 and 2.7T L4 is only about 40,000 yuan, considering the manufacturer's lower shipping price. China's tariffs are already quite low. Think about it, the previous generation Grand Cherokee 3.6 started at just 580,000 yuan, and the 5.7 V8 was marked at over 800,000 yuan. It's much more expensive than in North America. In North America, the 5.3 starts at just over 40, while domestically, the 2.7 starts at 65.
