Hey guys, does anyone else have the issue where the car doesn't shift gears while going uphill and just struggles? Also, the RPMs go high when going downhill.

With an automatic transmission, do you think it's like a manual where you can just shift whenever you want? [I need some peace]

It's normal; delaying upshifts while climbing helps maintain sufficient power. When going downhill, ease off the throttle and avoid hard acceleration.

It's normal. When you're climbing a hill and need a lot of torque with heavy acceleration, it's not surprising if it doesn't upshift. In fact, the transmission might even downshift when necessary. When going downhill, engine braking is maintained at a low gear with high RPMs. If you want to upshift while climbing, just ease off the accelerator a bit. However, if you press the accelerator hard again after upshifting, it will downshift again.

There really isn't such a phenomenon.

Is it normal for the Sharan to shift gears at 3000 RPM when climbing?

The gear shifting feels jerky. When going downhill, just a tap on the brake slows it down to the minimum speed. The fuel consumption is too high, basically 11 liters in the city.

Guys, I'm really freaking out. Just now, while driving smoothly, the D gear light (the one on the gear shift) started flashing, and the dashboard showed "Please shift to D gear first before selecting the appropriate gear." I was in a panic and didn't know whether to press the brake and shift to P gear or shift to P gear and then to D gear, and then it prompted "Speed too high to shift into D gear (or maybe P gear, I forgot)." It was terrifying, the car felt like it was in neutral and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator. I managed to park on the side using inertia, shifted back to P gear, and then to D gear, and it resumed normal driving. I want to ask you guys, what's going on here exactly? Is there a specific part that's malfunctioning?

Is there anyone who has experienced this situation? When shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, the car doesn't accelerate even though the RPM goes up. I have to release the accelerator and then press it again to make it work. What's going on here? Is it a transmission issue or something else? How did you guys solve it?

Car enthusiasts: Sometimes when driving a small car, the D gear won't shift up. The RPM suddenly goes up, but the gear doesn't match. What could be the reason?

Hello everyone, when driving an automatic Nissan Sunny, what's the situation when I brake and then accelerate, the RPM goes high but the car doesn't move? This often happens when turning as well, the RPM is high but it just doesn't go.
