Hey guys, have you noticed that with the Jetta VS5 automatic, starting in the morning at minus four or five degrees is fine, but after driving for five or six minutes to a red light, when you switch to neutral and then try to move again by shifting to drive, releasing the handbrake and giving gas, the car doesn't move? Has anyone experienced this phenomenon? What's going on?

This has happened a few times: I press the accelerator but the car doesn't move. Restarting the engine fixes it.

It feels like the power is lacking, but it should actually be the slow response of the car's system.

The battery is new, and the car starts fine when it's cold. But after driving for about ten minutes, sometimes when I stop and try to restart, it makes a squeaking sound and won't start. If I turn it off and then gently start it again, it works. I'm asking if anyone knows what might be causing this issue and if anyone has experienced something similar?

MG GS, with over 60,000 km, recently having trouble starting the car. It requires several attempts to start. Once started, five or six warning lights come on, and when pressing the accelerator, the car doesn't move, can't go over 10 km/h. It often needs to be turned off or re-shifted. Sometimes while driving, pressing the accelerator doesn't speed up the car, but the engine sounds like it's in neutral. It also jerks when moving. Local repair shops are hesitant to fix it, and the 4S shop is too far away. I'm worried the car won't accelerate on the road, which could lead to an accident. Seeking help.

My 2017 MG GS automatic luxury version has been driven over 108,000 kilometers in five years. A few days ago, while driving on the highway, [when accelerating uphill and pressing the gas pedal deeply, the power suddenly disappeared. I could only hear the engine revving without moving forward]. I checked and confirmed it was in D gear, tried switching to S gear but it didn't help. After turning on the hazard lights to let the cars behind pass, I pulled over, switched to neutral, and then back to D gear, and it could drive normally again. I don't know what the issue is. Could any knowledgeable teachers or friends advise? Thanks [smile].

If the car has been sitting for six or seven days, and you find that the key is hard to turn and requires some jiggling before it moves, what's the issue? This problem doesn't occur when driving daily.

Is your 2015 Jetta also like this, where the RPM only reaches around 3800 when you floor the gas pedal in neutral and doesn't hit 4000?

I used to drive a Ford Focus, and now I'm driving an Outlander. The Outlander is smooth on flat roads, but there's a noticeable lag when accelerating. The Focus would respond immediately when I stepped on the gas, and the steering was precise. The Outlander's steering feels a bit heavy, and when going uphill, it makes a lot of noise but doesn't move much. Even if I increase the throttle, the engine noise is quite loud.

After refueling my Jetta VS7 at the gas station, the idle speed tends to be high, around 1000 RPM. Then, during driving, the speed fluctuates. After driving for about ten kilometers, the idle speed returns to normal. Alternatively, if I turn off the engine and restart it, the idle speed also normalizes. I've tested this each time I refuel, and it's always the same situation.

Hello everyone, I have a question: My Mazda 6 had the engine light and oil light come on after shifting to neutral while waiting at a traffic light. The idle was normal, but there was no response when I pressed the gas pedal and shifted to drive. After restarting the car, everything went back to normal. I went to the dealership, but they couldn't find any error codes. Has anyone experienced something similar? How can I fix it?

Are there any owners who have been driving a pure electric vehicle for five or six years? Is the battery degradation severe?

I didn't drive for two days, and when I started the car today, I noticed the engine warning light was on. For the first ten minutes or so, pressing the accelerator only increased the RPM, and the speed stayed below 20. After driving for about ten minutes, when I pressed the accelerator, there was a humming noise, and the speed gradually picked up. However, the fuel consumption display kept changing even when the car was parked or just started and not moving (or maybe I hadn't noticed this before). Can anyone advise what's going on? Has anyone experienced this before?
