Which is better, CVT or 6AT? In terms of fuel economy, which one is more efficient, CVTs before 2013 or 6ATs after 2014? Personally, I prefer the smoother CVT, but why do most people prefer the 6AT? Can anyone who has driven both share their experience?

Jeep Liberty, 2012 model with over 170,000 km. It often stalls, especially when reversing with the AC on.
