In a Cartea exclusive, it has been revealed that the 2025 Tank 700 will be launched at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show. Since it has not been launched yet, there is no specific configuration information, so in this article, we will first take a look at the car's configuration in the Chinese market.
Exterior
Firstly, in terms of appearance, the Chinese version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T has overall dimensions of 5090*2061*1952mm, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. The vehicle combines a futuristic technology aesthetic with a rugged off-road vibe.
The front features a pure black grille embellished with horizontal chrome strips, paired with sharply designed LED headlights on either side, which are highly distinctive.
At the same time, the raised lines on the hood combined with the front bumper components that include light strips further enhance the visual impact of the front end.
Interior
In terms of interior design, the Chinese version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T adopts a relatively minimalist style. Not only does it feature extensive use of soft materials for upholstery, but it also incorporates metallic trim panels on the dashboard and door panels for an added touch of elegance.
Moreover, the new vehicle is equipped with a full digital dashboard and a large central control screen. Paired with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and some tactile physical buttons in the central control area, it offers a strong sense of technology and practicality.
The Chinese version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T introduces an innovative ultra-wide-angle delicate cloud bed chair, equipped with electric adjustments that enable the backrest to recline to 141°, conforming to the optimal ergonomic resting angle. Accompanied by a 145mm ultra-thick seat cushion, the seats offer heating and massage features, providing users with an exceptionally comfortable seating experience.
Additionally, the Tank 700 Hi4-T features comprehensive silencing engineering throughout its operational range, with over a hundred NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) treatments and millimeter-level design optimizations on key components, resulting in significantly reduced noise levels. Its cabin sound insulation performance surpasses that of comparable models in its class.
Engine
The Chinese version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T is equipped with a 3.0T Hi4-T technology structure, delivering a combined power of 385 kW and a combined torque of 800 N·m, offering a rapid acceleration experience from zero to hundred in just about 5 seconds.
Moreover, while featuring a large-capacity hybrid powertrain, the Tank 700 Hi4-T retains a mechanical all-wheel-drive system with three differential locks included in the non-decoupled all-wheel drive structure. Together with the standard MLock mechanical lock, it ensures a 50:50 torque distribution between the front and rear axles, providing users with a comprehensive power output and superior off-road capability. Even when only one wheel has traction, it can deliver 100% of the vehicle’s torque, aiding in vehicle recovery.
The Chinese version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T offers a selection of 12 driving/all-terrain modes, encompassing 38 off-road conditions worldwide, allowing users to easily find a driving/all-terrain mode that suits their needs and quickly become accustomed to the vehicle.
