On January 8, Zeekr unveiled teaser images of its upcoming 007 GT, showcasing its sleek side profile and sporty rear design. As a derivative of the Zeekr 007, this new model marks Zeekr’s second shooting brake and is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2025.
About Zeekr
Zeekr, founded in 2021 as the premium smart electric vehicle (EV) brand of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH), has quickly risen to prominence. Its first model, the Zeekr 001, is one of the most popular electric shooting brakes in China, with over 250,000 units sold.
Zeekr is also making strides in international markets. The Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X are now available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. In the UAE, the Zeekr 001 starts at AED 226,900, while the Zeekr X begins at AED 170,900. Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, the Zeekr 001 starts at AED 230,000, and the Zeekr X is priced at SAR 174,000.
Exterior Design: Sleek and Sporty
The Zeekr 007 GT sports a streamlined, athletic design with a clean and minimalist front end reminiscent of the Zeekr 007. The teaser images reveal a roof rack, new wheel designs, and a flatter roofline, which is complemented by a rear spoiler for an added touch of sportiness.
Notably, the 007 GT lacks LiDAR sensors, a standard feature on the Zeekr 007. This omission could make the 007 GT more competitively priced.
Powertrain and Range
The 007 GT is expected to retain the powertrain options of the current Zeekr 007, offering both single-motor and dual-motor variants. Based on the existing models, it may come with a range of options delivering 616 km, 660 km, 688 km, 770 km, or even up to 870 km on a single charge, as per the CLTC standard.
Pricing and Competition
With LiDAR may be removed, the Zeekr 007 GT could be priced similarly to the Zeekr 007, despite being a more premium offering.
In the current market, the NIO ET5T stands out as a strong competitor to the Zeekr 007 GT.
