MINI has launched performance-focused JCW versions of the electric Cooper and small Aceman crossover. The automaker had previously released JCW versions based on the SE models, but this new iteration adds more power and a more aggressive chassis setup.

The new versions are named electric John Cooper Works and John Cooper Works Aceman to distinguish them from other less powerful John Cooper Works versions. The car is powered by a single electric motor that produces 255 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, with power transmitted to the front wheels. This represents an increase of 40 horsepower and 20 Nm compared to the SE versions.

Additionally, drivers can gain an extra 27 horsepower by pressing the boost button on the steering wheel. MINI claims that the electric John Cooper Works can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the John Cooper Works Aceman does it in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 200 km/h.

Visually, the new versions feature the same exterior styling as the other JWC versions, including sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wings, diffusers, and John Cooper Works badges. However, they rely on exclusive dynamically optimized 18-inch wheels for the hatchback and 19-inch wheels for the crossover, fitted with standard high-stability tires.
