In its commitment to a more sustainable future without sacrificing luxury or performance, Bentley has announced the release of new hybrid versions of the Continental GT and Flying Spur for the 2026 model year. These models feature a new hybrid powertrain that is less powerful than the Speed editions but still delivers impressive performance in line with Bentley’s prestigious legacy.

High Performance Hybrid System

Bentley introduces this new setup under the name "High Performance Hybrid," a less potent variant compared to the "Ultra Performance Hybrid" found in Speed and Mulliner models. This system combines a 4.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor to produce a total output of 671 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque. While this figure is approximately 100 horsepower less than the Ultra Performance Hybrid, it still exceeds the output of the previous W12 engines.

This configuration enables the Continental GT to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, while the convertible version and the Flying Spur achieve the same in 3.8 seconds. The new models are equipped with advanced features such as adaptive damping, rear wheel steering, and an electronic limited slip differential to enhance control and stability.

For electric only driving, the Continental GT offers a range of up to 85 kilometers, which is 16 kilometers more than the Speed version. The convertible variant provides an electric range of up to 82 kilometers. Bentley has not yet provided electric range figures for the Flying Spur.

The new hybrid models are available in two primary trims: the "Core" base model and the more luxurious "Azure" version, which emphasizes passenger comfort and wellness. The Core models feature a sporty aesthetic with gloss black accents and intricate headlights inspired by the 2025 Speed design.

The Azure trim is distinguished by a chrome front grille with vertical slats, shiny chrome details on the bumper, and a gloss black front splitter. It also includes exclusive 22 inch wheels with Azure badges on the fenders. Inside, the cabin features diamond stitched leather upholstery and embroidered Azure logos on the headrests. The Continental GT Azure includes a panoramic sunroof, while the convertible version is equipped with neck warmers, ideal for cool autumn weather.
