Kia has officially unveiled the 2025 Carnival for the American market, showcasing major updates such as a redesigned front, SUV-like dimensions, and a new engine—enhancements that mirror those in the Korean version.
Key Aesthetic Updates
The vehicle features a stylish squared-off front with a large, rectangular grille and cube-shaped headlights, lending it a design that aligns more closely with traditional SUVs. Additionally, it includes updated rear lights for a more modern look.

The interior is impressively spacious, as expected from a minivan. When the second and third rows of seats are removed, the cargo space expands to an impressive 4,108 liters. Furthermore, the car features a new dashboard and center console, along with capabilities for remote digital updates and a digital car key.

New High-Efficiency Engine for Carnival
The 2025 Carnival is equipped with a cutting-edge hybrid engine that combines a 1.6-liter turbo engine with a 54 kW electric motor, generating a total output of 242 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
For those who prefer a non-hybrid option, a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 287 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque is also available.

Simultaneously, Kia introduced the 2025 K5 for the American market, which features several updates including a new front design with larger side air intakes, refreshed headlights, and chic new rear lights.
The updated K5 is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 191 horsepower, replacing the previous 1.6-liter turbo engine while still offering an optional 2.5-liter turbo engine with 290 horsepower.
Kia is set to showcase both vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show, opening its doors on February 10 in the United States.
