Powertrain and Performance
Mazda EZ-60 comes with two main powertrain options, designed to meet the needs of drivers who prioritize fuel efficiency or prefer a fully electric experience.
Range extended hybrid: Powered by a 1.5 liter four cylinder gasoline engine that works solely as a generator to charge a 31.7 kWh lithium battery. This battery feeds a rear mounted electric motor producing 255 hp, ensuring smooth performance with efficient fuel use.
All electric version: Equipped with the same 255 hp electric motor but paired with a larger 77.94 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, delivering up to 600 km of range under the CLTC cycle. This makes it a reliable option for long distance journeys.
With these options, customers can choose between an economical hybrid setup or a fully electric model that aligns with future sustainability demands.
Sleek Exterior and Futuristic Cabin
Mazda did not overlook design with the new EZ-60. The SUV combines fluid lines with bold presence, drawing inspiration from Mazda’s latest family language while adding distinctive touches that give it a unique identity. The biggest transformation, however, lies inside the cabin, where advanced technology meets modern comfort.
A massive 26.5 inch 5K central display that also functions as a screen for the front passenger, a standout feature in this class.
A 100 inch augmented reality head up display (AR HUD) that immerses the driver with real time road information.
Side mirrors replaced with high resolution cameras that offer a clearer and wider field of view, enhancing safety.
The cabin also uses premium quality materials and provides spacious seating for greater passenger comfort. Smart connectivity features with over the air software updates ensure the SUV stays fresh and technologically up to date.
Mazda’s Global Expansion Plans
Mazda confirmed that the EZ-60 will not remain exclusive to China. It will be exported to select markets worldwide, including Europe where it will be sold as the CX-6e. The GCC region is also expected to welcome this model soon, allowing it to compete strongly in the fast growing hybrid and electric SUV segment.
The launch of the EZ-60 reflects Mazda’s vision of blending refined design with clean technology, supported by competitive pricing that makes it an attractive option for a wide range of buyers seeking both value and innovation.
