In Al-Ahsa(الاحساء), Prince Saud bin Talal bin Abdulrahman (الأمير سعودي بن طلال بنبدء) witnessed the signing of the public transport bus project contract.
This project will operate with 40 buses along 7 routes. The signing ceremony was conducted between the Al-Ahsa (الاحساء) Municipality and the Saudi Public Transport Company Saptco, with Governor Saud bin Talal (الأمير سعودي بن طلال بنبدء) of Al-Ahsa and Saptco CEO Khalid Al-Haqeel (خالد الحقيل) signing the agreement.
The project aims to achieve the goals of the Saudi Public Transport Authority by enhancing the quality of life in the Kingdom and connecting the main landmarks and attractions in the province.
The buses will cover a total distance of 222 km, operate for 18 hours on seven routes, and serve 132 stops, employing 123 Saudi drivers.
The new public transport services aim to enhance safety, enrich public transport options in the city, reduce environmental pollution, and alleviate traffic congestion.
Prince Saud bin Talal (الأمير سعودي بن طلال بنبدء) of Saudi Arabia stated that there is significant support from the leadership for improving quality of life by providing efficient and sustainable transport.
The Chairman of the Public Transport Authority also mentioned that the project has operational flexibility with lower costs and the ability to modify the network without the need for expensive infrastructure.
