The Xpeng X9 is an electric MPV featuring uniquely designed seats aimed at balancing functionality and aesthetics. The vehicle emphasizes aerodynamics with 17 anti-drag features, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.227, which is impressive for a large MPV.

In addition to its aerodynamic features, the X9 includes sleek lighting units and flush-mounted door handles. The body features a sculpted design with aluminum used in both the front and rear. While the company has not disclosed many details, the vehicle boasts an elegant interior with a digital instrument cluster, an advanced entertainment system, and wooden accents. It also includes dual wireless chargers and sleek metallic touches.

The second row seating is the star of the show, featuring gravity-free reclining seats with footrests, allowing passengers to relax while watching entertainment on a large 21.4-inch screen. There’s also a built-in “fridge” with temperature settings ranging from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The company mentioned that it also offers a climate control system, described as the “world’s first central air conditioning” providing a “gentle and pleasant breeze.”

This MPV boasts class-leading cabin height and a spacious third row. The second-row seats are also mounted on electric sliders, while the third row folds flat to reveal storage space of up to 2554 liters.

The vehicle features an aluminum body in the front and rear. The model also includes a rear-wheel steering system and standard air suspension. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology previously revealed that the MPV will be offered with two different engines. The single-motor version will have a power output of 315 horsepower, while the dual-motor version will combine for a total of 496 horsepower.
