In a detailed test drive recently conducted in Saudi Arabia, the 001 proved to be a serious contender in the premium electric car segment, standing strong against renowned models like the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, Audi RS6, and Taycan Cross Turismo.

The Standard RWD variant is powered by a rear electric motor producing 272 horsepower, delivering smooth response in traffic and effortless maneuvering within urban environments. This is complemented by a precise steering system and gradual acceleration for refined control. In contrast, the Premium AWD model offers a more spirited drive, thanks to its dual motor setup that generates a total of 544 horsepower and 686 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
The automatic air suspension enhances both ride comfort and stability, enabling the vehicle to adjust its height depending on road conditions. Meanwhile, the dTCS distributed traction control system improves grip and responsiveness, especially on sharp turns or challenging surfaces. The RWD variant delivers up to 741 km on a single charge based on the CLTC cycle, while the Premium and Flagship AWD models offer a solid range of 656 km. These figures make the Zeekr 001 a practical choice for long distance driving across Gulf cities. Power consumption remains low, rated at just 18.2 kWh per 100 km for the RWD version and 18.5 kWh for the AWD variants.
Charging solutions are flexible and advanced. With a 200 kW fast charger, the battery can go from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, while the Zeekr Power 360 kW system delivers up to 120 km of range in only 5 minutes. For home use, slow charging takes approximately five and a half hours to reach 100 percent, ideal for overnight recharging. The battery system is supported by intelligent thermal pumps that help maintain optimal performance in the region’s hot climate.
In Saudi Arabia, Zeekr 001 is offered by Al Wallan Trading Company in three main trims: the Standard RWD at 265,500 SAR, the Premium AWD at 282,750 SAR, and the Flagship AWD at 298,850 SAR.
