2023 New Jetour Traveller off-road SUV in-depth Walkaround Chery has unveiled a new retro-styled SUV, which is being introduced under its fresh Jetour brand. Known as the Traveller, it represents the latest addition to Chery's expanding SUV lineup and contributes to the growing range of vehicles within the Jetour marque. The Traveller will offer a choice between ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) powertrains. For ICE options, there are two to choose from: a 1.5T engine paired with a 7-speed DCT available in front-wheel drive, and a 2.0T engine matched with an 8-speed AT equipped with BorgWarner's advanced sixth-generation four-wheel drive system. The 1.5T engine delivers an output of 135 kW, while the 2.0T engine boasts a maximum power of 187 kW and a peak torque of 390 Nm. Their comprehensive fuel consumption figures stand at 8.35L/100km and 8.83L/100km, respectively. On the other hand, the PHEV variant will combine a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor, utilizing a 3-speed DHT (Dual-Clutch Transmission). Jetour is confident that the PHEV version will offer an impressive comprehensive cruising range exceeding 1,000 km. This PHEV model is expected to hit the market later in November, providing customers with a more eco-friendly driving option.
