2024 Leapmotor C16 in-depth Walkaround The Leapmotor C16 is a six-seat mid-to-large SUV, available in both range-extended and all-electric versions. The range-extended version boasts a combined range of over 1000 km, while the all-electric variant is equipped with advanced 800V technology. Continuing the family design language, the 2024 Leapmotor C16 SUV features a simple and sleek overall shape, highlighted by through-type front and rear lights and hidden door handles. Its wheels have a multi-spoke design and come standard with 21-inch rims, enhancing the sporty and premium feel. The body dimensions of the Leapmotor C16 SUV are 4915mm in length, 1905mm in width, and 1770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2825mm. It adopts a "2+2+2" six-seat layout, making it spacious and comfortable. Inside, the seats of the Leapmotor C16 are arranged in a 2+2+2 configuration and are covered with baby-bite-grade silicone material, making them family-friendly and comfortable for long journeys. The range-extended version of the Leapmotor C16 features a hybrid system composed of a 1.5L range extender and an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 70 kW and the electric motor delivering 170 kW. It is equipped with a 28.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 200 km, a fuel consumption of 5.4L/100 km when the battery is depleted, and a CLTC combined range of 1095 km. On the other hand, the all-electric version is built on an 800V silicon carbide platform, featuring a 215 kW drive motor and a 67.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a CLTC all-electric range of 520 km. It supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the state of charge (SOC) to go from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The entire model range also supports a maximum discharge power of 3.3 kW, catering to outdoor camping needs and ensuring versatility for various lifestyles.
