    2025 Kia EV5 in-depth Walkaround The 2025 Kia EV5, with an estimated starting price of $40,000, is a battery-electric compact crossover SUV produced by Kia. It features a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, offering power outputs of 160 kW (215 hp; 218 PS) and 230 kW (308 hp; 313 PS). The EV5 is equipped with FinDreams LFP batteries, available in two capacities: 64.2 kWh and 88.1 kWh. These batteries provide impressive ranges, with the vehicle capable of traveling up to 665 km (413 miles) according to the NEDC standard and up to 720 km (447 miles) according to the CLTC standard. The EV5 supports 7 kW single-phase AC charging for plug-in charging and 11 kW three-phase AC charging for the Long Range model. It also offers fast DC charging options at 102 kW and 141 kW for the Long Range model. In terms of dimensions, the EV5 has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm (108.3 inches), a length of 4,615 mm (181.7 inches), a width of 1,875 mm (73.8 inches), and a height of 1,715 mm (67.5 inches). The curb weight ranges from 1,870 to 2,130 kg (4,123 to 4,696 lbs), highlighting its robust build.
