Yesterday, I went for a car maintenance, and the oil draining took a bit longer. The mechanic said that adding just over 4 liters of oil wasn't enough, so they added a bit more, totaling 5 liters. Is this reasonable?

I recently got an 08 Mazda 2 hatchback, 1.3L automatic. It has been driven 130,000 km over 15 years. I've been driving it for about 10 days, mostly commuting in the city with a round trip of 40 km a day, but the fuel consumption is ridiculously high... After the fuel warning light first came on, I added fuel worth 200 yuan, which was 25.6 liters, and drove a total of 247 km. The average fuel consumption was 10.35 liters/km, costing 0.8 yuan/km. After the fuel warning light, the engine light turned yellow as well, what's going on??? I didn't think too much and just drove to the gas station, asked the staff to fill it up, but it could only take 34 liters before the pump stopped. The staff said it was full. Isn't the Mazda 2's fuel tank capacity supposed to be 43 liters? Why is it full so much earlier, is there something wrong? Looking for help, how should I deal with this? Has anyone experienced the same situation?
Hello MDX car owners, how many liters of engine oil do you usually add during maintenance? How many kilometers can you run? I used Mobil this year, added 5 liters each time, but the oil is almost running out after just over 5000 kilometers. It's burning quite a bit, is this normal?

4I just went out for a drive, and it seems like there's a problem on the way back. Is there anyone who knows about cars that can listen and tell if it's an engine issue? It's the holiday season, how should I fix it? (Mainly worried about further driving damaging the engine.) The specific situation is that on the way back, there was a noise indicating a fault, but no warning light came on. Then during two turns, the steering suddenly locked and the car stalled. Since I wasn't far from home, I drove a bit more and parked at home.
5Hey folks, got a low oil warning and the next day it started making noise. Even after adding 4 liters of oil, it's still the same. Any idea why?
6Yesterday, I went to the dealership to check the air conditioning pressure. It was at 16 psi and the temperature was 7.6 degrees, and they said everything was fine. But by noon, it wasn't cooling anymore. 🤦♂️
7Does the G80 have any interior odors? I used to drive an XC60, and it didn't have any smell at all—the cabin was very comfortable. However, Volvo's soundproofing isn't great. I took a ride in a car-hailing service today, and there was an indescribable odor inside the car. Not sure if it was a plastic smell or something else, but even though it was faint, it made sitting inside uncomfortable. I don't know how the driver tolerates it. I test drove the G80 and noticed a bit of a smell, but it wasn't unpleasant. It definitely can't compare to a new Volvo. I'm curious if the smell will still be there after one or two months. With my previous XC60, even after being parked under the sun, there was no noticeable odor inside. Any G80 owners care to share their experience?
8I've got a 2014 Peugeot 3008 1.6T that's been burning oil. I've added three liters of oil in the past 5000 kilometers. I'm thinking about replacing the valve seals. Does anyone know if this works? Has anyone else done this, and how effective was it?
9I went to the Toyota 4S store yesterday to check out this car. The exterior and interior are both acceptable. I'm just a bit concerned about one thing: the particulate filter is located in the middle section of the exhaust, which is a bit far from the engine. Theoretically, since it's a naturally aspirated hybrid engine, the operating temperature is lower and the filter is farther from the engine. Wouldn't the particulate filter be more prone to clogging? What do you experts think about this issue?
10It’s now been 8 years since I got the car, and I’ve driven it for 230,000 km—and not once has it let me down. No breakdowns, no issues. It’s never even been to the dealership; all the maintenance was done at local workshops—just oil changes and basic stuff. On top of that, the yearly expenses—insurance, fuel, maintenance—have always been reasonable. I was planning to replace it in 2022, but some things happened at home—I spent a year and a half unemployed. During that time, I started driving for Uber with it. Then in 2024, I went back to my regular job. And since the car was still running great, I decided to stick with it—it still does the job. Of course, don’t expect high performance or speed—if you fill it up with passengers, it struggles a bit. But that’s not what it was built for anyway. It’s a car that simply gets you from point A to point B, without worries, and without draining your wallet. It’s extremely economical, not luxurious—but it gives you peace of mind. And honestly, in times like these, that’s what really matters.
