When I put it in D gear and release the brake, sometimes it moves forward, and other times I have to press the accelerator for it to move.

Is the auto hold feature turned on? Just turn off the auto hold feature.

Remember to gently tap to release the auto hold, and be careful to press the pedal deeply to prevent the car from lurching forward.

The pressure you apply to the brake pedal affects the automatic parking system in the car. When the green "P" symbol appears on the dashboard, it means the brake is engaged. If it doesn't show, it means the brake isn't engaged, and the automatic parking isn't activated. Check the manual for more details!

You have activated the auto hold, right? When you're in Drive (D) and press the brake fully, it will engage the auto hold. At this point, releasing the gas pedal won't make the car move. You just need to press the gas pedal again, and it will automatically release the hold and move forward. This feature is useful for when you're waiting at a red light.

When the car is in D gear at idle, it feels weak (like an ant crawling), but when you press the accelerator, it becomes normal. In reverse gear, it doesn't move at all unless you press the accelerator. The car is a 2016 Haima S5.

Why can't the Pajero burn out when the brake is fully pressed and the accelerator is fully pressed in D gear, with the RPM only reaching a bit over 2000?

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask something. When I cold start my car, the idle speed is quite high and when I release the brake, the power is strong and it just surges forward. But after driving for a few minutes or waiting at a few traffic lights, it starts to lose power. When I release the brake, it moves very slowly, and it only gets a bit better if I press the accelerator. It's a 2007 model with an automatic transmission.

Gear shifting issue: When the car is cold and I switch from reverse to drive, it rolls back a bit after releasing the brake before moving forward. This doesn't happen when the car is warm. Anyone else experiencing this? It's a 2019 model with 80,000 kilometers on it.

Guys, I'm really freaking out. Just now, while driving smoothly, the D gear light (the one on the gear shift) started flashing, and the dashboard showed "Please shift to D gear first before selecting the appropriate gear." I was in a panic and didn't know whether to press the brake and shift to P gear or shift to P gear and then to D gear, and then it prompted "Speed too high to shift into D gear (or maybe P gear, I forgot)." It was terrifying, the car felt like it was in neutral and there was no power when I pressed the accelerator. I managed to park on the side using inertia, shifted back to P gear, and then to D gear, and it resumed normal driving. I want to ask you guys, what's going on here exactly? Is there a specific part that's malfunctioning?

When you shift to D gear and press the accelerator to start, does your car make a buzzing sound, like exhaust resonance?

I recently got a CX-5 less than a month ago, and I noticed that when starting the car cold and shifting to D gear, there's a noticeable "jerking" sensation as the car moves forward. After driving for a while and the car warms up, when switching between N and D gear, the jerking sensation is still there but much less noticeable. Is this normal?
