I just bought my first brand-new car ever, so I thought I’d share my initial impressions. In terms of space, the car feels quite roomy for us as a family — maybe because none of us are particularly tall — so overall it feels very comfortable inside. As for comfort, it’s fine by me. Some people complain about the plastic feel of the materials, but I honestly think it’s perfectly acceptable. What’s bothering me the most right now is the smell of the materials inside — it’s a bit strong when you first open the door. I decided to put some charcoal bags inside and wait a few days to see if it improves. The buying experience itself was full of details I didn’t fully understand. Since it’s my first time buying a car, the salesperson was saying a lot of things that went over my head. I’m pretty sure some things slipped past me, but no worries — it’s all part of the learning process. Regarding fuel, I’ve driven around 50 km so far, and I think the consumption is about 8 liters per 100 km, which I find reasonable as a completely new driver. Performance-wise, it’s okay for now — the car feels a bit sluggish at low speeds, but once it gets moving, it smooths out and feels much better.

Hi everyone, is the electric current noise inside the McLaren GT really loud? I test drove it the other day, and at first, I didn't hear it, but later as I sat in the passenger seat, I seemed to hear a bit. I've seen many people say the noise is quite loud and can't be fixed... I'm a bit OCD, and constant noise would drive me crazy. I'm now hesitating about buying this car.
I'm turning 18 soon, and my family already has a Cullinan. However, I want my mom to get me a BB version of either the Cullinan or the Phantom. Does anyone know which one has a better driving experience? I feel like the Cullinan is more comfortable to sit in, but I haven't driven it yet. I'm planning to drive it myself, so which one is more comfortable to drive?
4When I start the vehicle, the radio turns on automatically. Can this be disabled without just muting it? It's making me connect to Bluetooth first thing when I get in the car.
5Hey folks, I need some advice. When I start the car and turn on the AC, there's this really bad smell at first, but it goes away after a bit. How can I fix this? Thanks!

8Hey fellow car enthusiasts! I'm driving the BYD Song Plus fuel version and I feel like the steering wheel isn't quite responsive. I've set it to Comfort mode, but it still feels a bit stiff while driving. Could it be that there's some feature I haven't turned off?
9Does anyone feel that the idle vibration of the 2024 Macan S is a bit much? Just got the car, over 100 kilometers on it, and sitting inside feels shakier than my 4-cylinder BMW... Anyone else feel the same?
10Since I got the car, I’ve driven it a few times on intercity highways and elevated city roads. At first, fuel consumption was quite high — around 12 L/100 km — but after some regular use, it dropped to 7.8. It hasn’t gone any lower since then, even though I’ve only driven about 500 km in less than a month. Honestly, every time I refuel, it stings a little 😅. This is my first car, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but driving feels smooth overall. Once you hit 100 km/h, tire noise becomes noticeable, but throttle response during overtaking is pretty decent. The thing that annoyed me most is the infotainment system. There’s no built-in CarPlay, so I bought an external adapter. While it technically works, Bluetooth is unstable, and the navigation voice won’t come through the car speakers. On top of that, the system randomly activates and starts saying weird things, and the voice assistant sometimes greets you with “Hi” and other times with “I’m here” — honestly, it feels awkward. I’m not sure if all Japanese brands do this, or just this one. As for interior space, the rear seat area is quite good, but the new car smell is still strong, so I’ve thrown in a bunch of charcoal bags to absorb it. Overall, I’m satisfied for a first car, but there are definitely things that could be better.
