What should I do if the touchscreen stops working? The dealership said it's a common issue, and since it's out of warranty, they suggested I replace it myself (which is quite honest of them). Has anyone else encountered this problem? Which type of screen is suitable to replace it with? 😊

Buy an external screen and a pentalobe screwdriver on Taobao, and just replace it. The seller usually provides a tutorial. Personally, I don't think it's too difficult.

My RDX has hit 90,000 kilometers, and the dealership also suggested replacing the tires. I wonder which tire models everyone else has switched to? Feel free to share the specific brands and models! Tires with the same specifications for other cars are also welcome, like 235/55R19. 👍

Which coolant should I buy for the imported Koleos? I noticed today that the coolant in the reservoir is below the minimum line and I'm considering replacing it all. Could you advise on which coolant would be suitable?

Guys, has anyone had to replace their steering gear? I changed mine after just over 5,000 kilometers, and now it's making noise again. Every time I turn, there's a cracking sound! Is this a common issue? The warranty is about to expire, and if it happens again, I'll have to pay out of pocket. It's really frustrating.

My car was registered in 2018 and has just over 10,000 kilometers. It's been in the repair shop for half a month now. They said it's the electronic rocker arm that's broken. First, they tried replacing the spark plugs, but that didn't work. The ignition coil didn't work, and neither did the injectors. Then they said it's the electronic rocker arm. Wow, it costs 12,000. Sigh, they suggested I replace the engine, which is around 15,000. I don't even know what to do. This car isn't worth 50,000 now, and fixing it costs over 10,000.

Hi everyone, the electronic steering lock of my Chery Jetour X70 is broken and needs to be replaced. The 4S shop said it's no longer under warranty, so I have to replace it myself. It seems to cost several thousand. Does anyone know if the 10-year or 200,000 km warranty indicated by the lifetime warranty badge on Jetour still covers it? The steering system is an important part of the car. The car was registered in August 2020, so it's been almost four years. Does anyone know if this is still under warranty? Please help.

I bought the 2019 Bestune T99 in September 2020. Since it was my first car purchase, I lacked experience and fell into many traps. Besides having many minor issues, I later discovered several parts were damaged. The tires were previously used, which immediately made me suspect that this car was probably a test drive vehicle. And I was right. A few days ago, I went to replace the turn signal lights and found that the wiring inside had been reconnected, and the connections were poorly done. Moreover, the production dates of the left and right turn signals were almost a year apart. (Cars from the factory have uniform dates.) After all these years, it's impossible to explain this to the dealership now! I hope everyone pays attention to details when buying a car to avoid being deceived.

How to fix the long brake travel on a 2014 Santana? The brake pads are thick, the rear drum brakes have been tightened, and the brake fluid has been changed. Recently, the brake travel has become longer, and I'm not used to it at all. When I press the brake, it feels like there's a hissing sound under my foot. Several mechanics said they can't adjust it. Any suggestions on which part needs to be replaced? Thanks!

I’m someone who likes a car to be practical and comfortable, so I was looking for something with enough space. Honestly, the GLC surprised me! The rear seat space is excellent, and the trunk is more than sufficient without any hassle. Sure, it doesn’t have a spare tire, but personally, I don’t need one—especially since it’s a daily-use vehicle. When it comes to interior design, Mercedes is always ahead. I looked at cars like the S90 and Q5 before, but I felt the GLC suited my taste more—especially with the natural wood trim instead of piano black, which gets dirty and scratched easily. The only thing I didn’t like about the interior was the speakers—they look very plain and don’t have any branding, so they feel like something’s missing. Driving the car is comfortable and stable. The 260 model with around 200 horsepower is more than enough for my needs, and I didn’t see a reason to go for the 300 model. I also test-drove the C-Class, but I found it too stiff and not comfortable, especially over bumps. Fuel consumption is currently between 8 and 9 liters per 100 km in the city, and since the car is still in the break-in period, that seems reasonable to me for a 2.0 turbo engine. What really bothered me, though, was the downgrade in features due to the parts shortage—especially the Burmester sound system, which they removed from all the new trims! I was planning to get it, but it completely disappeared from the catalog. On top of that, if you want to install it later through the dealership, they ask for over 30,000! Honestly, I’m thinking of going to an aftermarket shop and getting a good sound system installed myself. I moved from an old BYD to the GLC, and I can say honestly: no car is perfect, but the one that fits your needs is the best car for you. Sometimes you should look for what’s most suitable, not necessarily the most luxurious. And when you find a car that truly gives you peace of mind, you feel completely satisfied with your decision.
