Is the third-generation 888 engine, with 70,000 kilometers on it, now burning one liter of oil every 5,000 kilometers? I've always used Castrol Edge 5W40 oil. Does it need a major overhaul?

Hey guys, I noticed something today with my Sharan. The compressor starts running as soon as I turn it on, but the fan doesn't spin! The fan only starts when I turn on the AC. Is yours the same way?
