How does the Jetta VS5 manual drive? Is there any serious rusting on the whole car? Are there many minor issues later on? I'm considering buying one, so I'd appreciate some advice from those who have used it. Thanks!

What problems can a manual transmission have? Your question isn't very professional. It seems fine while driving; the shifting is quite smooth, and the power is okay too. It depends on personal handling. Rusting isn't related to the manual transmission, I'm not sure.

Driving a manual car in the city can be really tiring, so I took the advice and switched to an automatic.

Automatic is effortless, while manual wears out your shoes. [I want some peace and quiet]

If you're not experienced or don't have a preference for manual, it's better to go for automatic. Just look at the forums for VS5 where most of the posts about manual transmissions are from drivers who don't know how to drive them.

Some netizens say that driving a Macan is for those who can't afford a Cayenne, trying hard to get a Porsche. By this logic: Buying a Cayenne is for those who can't afford a Rolls-Royce, trying hard to buy a car. Buying a Rolls-Royce is for those who can't afford a high-speed train, trying hard to travel. Buying an apartment is for those who can't afford a villa, trying hard to own a house. Buying a villa is for those who can't afford a private island, trying hard to own land. What other logical analogies do you all have?

I'm planning to buy a 2018 or later model with a 2.7 engine hood, or the new Haval H9. I mostly drive in rural areas and don't do much off-roading! Ideally, I'd like a Prado 3.5, but there's no 95 octane fuel available in my area! I'd love to hear some thoughts from experienced folks! Thanks for the feedback!
