Looking to buy a used Chery Tiggo 3X for practice as a new driver. Is this car worth getting? Does it have a lot of problems? I heard it’s discontinued, so will maintenance be a hassle?

There are basically no issues, and the parts are interchangeable with the Tiggo 3.

My 2018 model was registered in 2019 and has nearly 85,000 kilometers on it.

It depends on personal habits and regular maintenance! In the city, this car consumes about 7 liters per 100 km at speeds of 30-50 km/h. It's less fuel-efficient on the highway. The engine displacement is small, and there are fewer gears for transition! The most fuel-efficient speeds are in the mid to low range, around 60-80 km/h.

I'm a Chery X3 owner. I think this car is pretty decent, mainly because the price is right. A new one costs around 70,000 to 80,000 yuan, which is very practical for working folks. Plus, it has a high chassis. I got the mid-range Smart Enjoy version! Other than the lack of Bluetooth and no loudspeakers in the rear doors, everything else is fine! The power is decent for a car in the 70,000 to 80,000 yuan range. It's durable and great for off-road adventures!

You can add fuel worth 200 RMB, and it can run for 400 kilometers.

Overall, this car is fine, considering the price. For this price, the car offers great value for money.

Highly recommended, don't ask why. Once you drive it, you'll know. 😄

Hello everyone. I have an '06 Peugeot 206 with a 1.6 engine. I've been driving it for over two years now. I'm thinking about fixing it up a bit, like touching up the paint and replacing the floor mats and seat covers. I've been keeping up with the maintenance, so I won't go into that. Now I'm just wondering, given the age of the car, is it worth investing more into it? Would appreciate your advice. Thank you!

If you're looking for an SUV around 130,000 RMB for daily family use, Chery Tiggo 8, Jetour X90, and Haval Big Dog are all decent options. Here's a brief overview to help you decide: 1. **Chery Tiggo 8**: Known for its spacious interior and good value for money. It's a solid choice if you prioritize comfort and practicality. 2. **Jetour X90**: Offers a roomy cabin with flexible seating arrangements, making it great for family trips. It's also equipped with a range of features for convenience. 3. **Haval Big Dog**: Stands out with its unique design and off-road capabilities. If you enjoy a rugged look and some adventure, this might be the one for you. Consider what features are most important for your daily needs, like interior space, tech features, or off-road capabilities, to make the best choice.

Based on the situation you described, you have a budget of 30w provided by your parents to buy a car, and your internship salary is 6k per month. Your living expenses like food and housing are covered by your parents, but other expenses are your responsibility. To determine if 6k is enough to maintain the car, consider the following: 1. **Fuel Costs**: Calculate the fuel cost based on the car's fuel economy and current fuel prices. You plan to drive about 1500km a month, so this will be a significant factor. 2. **Insurance**: Check the cost of car insurance in your area for a new driver. 3. **Maintenance and Repairs**: Consider regular maintenance costs and unexpected repairs. 4. **Other Expenses**: Include costs like registration, parking, and tolls. If your monthly expenses for the car (fuel, insurance, maintenance, etc.) fit within your budget after accounting for your other personal expenses, then 6k might be sufficient to maintain the car. However, it's important to have some savings for unforeseen expenses.

Hey buddy, how's the diesel Prado? I've heard that the diesel quality back home isn't great, so I'm worried about getting a diesel and running into problems.

I'm looking to buy a used car for practice with a budget under 30,000. I'm not picky about the features, manual is fine too, but I've heard the used car market is quite chaotic. I don't have friends who know much about cars either, so I'm worried about getting scammed. Any good advice from experienced folks? 😟😟😟

Today, while driving my 2020 automatic Chery Arrizo 5, I heard a squeaky noise from the accelerator pedal when I pressed it to accelerate. When I released the pedal, it didn't return to its original position and kept accelerating, which scared me, so I quickly braked and pulled over to turn off the engine. I then shifted to neutral and started the engine, which roared to over 4000 RPM. After turning it off, I manually adjusted the pedal, heard the squeak again, and then it started working normally. Occasionally, there's still a noise when pressing the accelerator, but the pedal returns to normal. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or what might be broken?

After 8 years with my old petrol car, it started burning oil, and I noticed a lot of people around me were switching to electric vehicles. That got me thinking. I was originally planning to get the top-spec Tank 300 (Menglong), and during the National Day holiday I went for a test drive — it met my expectations. On the way back, I stopped by a Jetour dealership and saw the T2. My daughter instantly fell in love with the exterior and interior — it completely overshadowed the Menglong in her eyes. Looks clearly played a big role, and after a test drive, it felt good enough. Since I don’t really need 4WD for daily driving, I booked it right away. Looking back now, I do wish I had waited for the 4WD version — a bit more power would’ve been nice. For this type of vehicle, electric power saves a lot. For daily use, my cost is just around 0.10 AED/km (charging at home on off-peak rates of 3.3 AED/kWh). My daily round-trip to work is under 20 km, so I only charge every four days, when the battery hits around 20%.For long-distance trips, I don’t bother with charging — it’s too much hassle. I just set the car to preserve 60% battery and drive on petrol. Even if fuel consumption is slightly higher, it’s fine since I only do a few road trips per year. The car is heavy and feels solid on the road. Acceleration is decent, but the 4WD version definitely would’ve offered better power and confidence. I’ve had the car for over half a year now. So far, the only issue has been a slight noise from the steering system — which was fixed. Other than that, no major problems. Buying a car always involves a bit of luck anyway. The biggest downside is the driver assistance system — it lags behind the competition. The infotainment system has improved a bit with the latest 4.11 update, but it still has room for improvement.Overall, I’m quite satisfied. Compared to many newer EV startups, Chery is an established brand. The lifetime warranty adds a lot of peace of mind, especially on the powertrain and electric components.
