The Cadillac Lyriq electric midsize crossover enters the 2025 model year with a slightly higher starting price, but additional standard features mean buyers get better value.

The 2025 Lyriq is priced from $59,990, which is a $1,400 increase from last year.

However, the 2025 Lyriq has lost last year's entry-level Tech grade, making last year's mid-range Luxury grade the new entry-level grade. The Luxury grade last year started at $62,690, meaning buyers of the 2025 model are saving around $2,700.

The range-topping Sport grade is still available and enjoys a lower starting price of $60,490, down $2,700 from last year. All figures include a $1,395 destination charge.

The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq has a slightly higher starting price, but the additional standard features provide better value for buyers.

Both the Luxury and Sport grades come with rear-wheel drive as standard, which means there's a single motor at the rear axle delivering 340 hp. Upgrading to all-wheel drive is a $3,500 option but worth it given the extra performance on offer. It adds an electric motor to the front axle and takes combined output to 500 hp, while also giving the extra traction of all-wheel drive.

Other changes for 2025 include a standard memory seat function for the front passenger seat, more colors for the ambient lighting system, and a standard OnStar Package that includes three years of Super Cruise, if the automated driver-assist feature is equipped.

Cadillac hasn't provided an equipment list for the 2025 Lyriq's Luxury and Sport grades but the details will be added to its website soon. Last year, the Luxury grade included a 33.0-inch display integrating the instrument cluster and infotainment system, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a glass roof with a power sunshade, 20-inch wheels, a nappa leather package, front seats with cooling and massage functions, second-row heated seats, and a black-painted roof.

The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq has a slightly higher starting price, but the additional standard features provide better value for buyers.

The Sport grade featured most of the items in the Luxury grade while adding design details such as body-colored door handles, a unique front grille, and dark accents. It also had its own wheel patterns.

All 2025 Lyriqs come with a 102-kwh battery, which the EPA estimates at up to 314 miles of range with rear-wheel drive and 307 miles if all four wheels are driven. The battery supports charging at up to 190 kw using a DC fast charger, in which case Cadillac estimates about 77 miles can be added in 10 minutes.

Cadillac's Optiq compact crossover and Escalade IQ full-size SUV also join the brand's electric lineup for the 2025 model year, and a midsize crossover with third-row seats is expected for 2026. It will be called a Vistiq.

Cadillac doesn't plan to fully abandon gas-powered vehicles, though. Brand chief John Roth in May told reporters that Cadillac will likely still be selling vehicles with gas engines beyond 2030.
