Honda has announced the launch of the 2025 Civic's RS sport trim in Japan, equipped with a manual transmission and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.
New Updates in the Honda Civic RS
The new Civic RS trim features significantly improved engine responsiveness, enhancing the driving experience. The suspension system has been lowered by 0.2 inches, with an increase in front brake size and improvements to the steering system.
The Japanese hatchback comes with black 18-inch wheels and a red RS badge, along with updates to the front bumper and multiple black accents, as well as sporty red stitching inside.
Engine and Performance
The new Honda Civic RS relies on a 1.5-liter turbo engine that generates 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, making it less powerful compared to the Civic Si trim, which produces 200 horsepower.
It's worth noting that the Honda Civic has recently received a new hybrid trim, the first in ten years, featuring a 2.0-liter gasoline 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors, offering a total power of 200 horsepower and torque of 314 Nm, with front-wheel drive and an electronic CVT transmission.
