Recently, Renault unveiled the R17, a concept car based on a redesign of a classic model.
The new car's energy type is electric, and is created by Renault and French designer Ora Ïto.It is scheduled to make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, with a prototype originating from the Renault 17 coupe that went on sale in 1971.
Measurement, the new car is 6.7 inches longer than the original model, with many of the classic designs retained and certain parts modernised, allowing the new car to remain classic while still being able to have a technological feel.
The electric R17 is said to weigh around 3,086 pounds (about 1,399.79 kg) and features the company's unique Galaxy Brown paint job developed for the car.
Interior, the Renault R17 features a square steering wheel, behind which the 17 instruments used in the original model are replaced by four displays.
It should be noted that the car is currently in concept status. Renault officials have said that if consumers clamour for it, it could be considered for production, with the hope of retaining as many design elements from the concept car as possible.
