Toyota has officially announced the launch of the GR Corolla 2025, which comes with significant mechanical updates for the sporty hatchback. One of the most important updates is the addition of an 8-speed automatic transmission, the same system that was applied to the Toyota GR Yaris in the past months.
Significant Performance Enhancements
The GR Corolla continues to offer a 6-speed manual transmission option for fans of direct driving. The car has undergone updates to its 1.6-liter 3-cylinder engine, with torque increasing from 370 to 400 Newton-meters, while power remains at 300 hp.
The suspension system has been improved for better stability, with front and rear limited-slip differentials provided as standard across all trims.
Modern and Aesthetic Design
The Toyota GR Corolla 2025 also received aesthetic updates, including a revised front bumper for improved cooling. The interior remains largely unchanged, with the addition of some new trims.
Available options for the car include a carbon fiber roof and dark alloy wheels, a heads-up display, and sports seats bearing the GR logo. Toyota will announce the prices later.
