Nearly four years have passed since the debut of the current Audi S3 sports sedan, prompting the introduction of a facelift version that features significant updates in both design and performance.
Engine and Mechanical Enhancements
The Audi S3 is available as both a hatchback and a sedan, with the facelifted version receiving substantial mechanical upgrades. The 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine now delivers 329 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, reflecting an increase of 23 horsepower and 20 Nm over the previous model.
The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission has been refined for quicker gear shifts, and torque distribution between the rear wheels has been enhanced for a more engaging driving experience, especially in tight corners.
To accommodate the added power, Audi has equipped the S3 with larger front brakes, high-grip tires, and 19-inch wheels.
Aesthetic Updates
This German sedan has received notable aesthetic updates, including a refreshed front grille, modified headlights, sportier bumpers, and new taillights.
Audi is set to disclose additional specifications and pricing for the new S3 facelift later this year, coinciding with the unveiling of the updated A3 family, particularly the high-performance RS3 variant, which may see an increased output from its 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine exceeding 401 horsepower.
