In August 2025, GAC announced a major step in the extended range electric vehicle segment by introducing the Xingyuan Range Extender alongside the launch of the new Hyper HL EREV. The model expands the Hyper HL family, also known globally as HypTec, to four trims priced between 269,800 and 299,800 RMB (approximately 137,000 to 152,000 SAR).

With this launch, GAC aims to meet the expectations of customers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE who seek a blend of luxury, reliability, and long driving range.
