The 2025 Geely Cityray has captured the attention of compact luxury car enthusiasts across the GCC thanks to its blend of sporty performance and outstanding fuel efficiency. This hatchback brings premium amenities usually reserved for larger vehicles into the subcompact segment without sacrificing economy. In this article, we compare engine specifications, trim level differences, exterior styling, interior features, and safety systems of the three models available at the Al Walan dealership in Saudi Arabia, helping readers select the variant that best matches their needs and budget.

Engine Power and Fuel Efficiency

The Cityray 2025’s turbocharged 1.5 liter four cylinder gasoline engine produces 172 hp and 290 Nm of torque. Mated to a seven speed dual clutch transmission, it drives the front wheels and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 7.9 seconds.

In addition to its spirited performance, this configuration delivers a fuel efficiency of 17.3 km per liter (approximately 40.7 mpg US). With a 51 liter fuel tank, it supports extended journeys without frequent refueling.

Car Models and Official Prices

The Al-Walan dealer in Saudi Arabia offers three main variants of the Geely Cityray 2025 to suit different preferences. The standard GC model starts at SAR 92,635 (including tax), while the mid range GK variant adds more features for SAR 99,535. The fully equipped GF variant is priced at SAR 101,835. These competitive figures in the luxury compact hatchback segment allow buyers to select the configuration that offers the best value for money, rivaling comparable models in the UAE market.

Advanced Exterior Design

The City Ray’s silhouette presents a contemporary look, combining LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights for a commanding road presence. Futuristic LED light strips define the rear fascia. Both standard and mid level models ride on 18 inch aluminum wheels, while the full option variant steps up to 19 inch wheels to boost stability and deliver a sportier stance.

A smart high-beam assistant enhances visibility at night, and electrically adjustable mirrors fold at the touch of a button to facilitate parking in tight spaces. Mid level and full option variants also include a panoramic sunroof that bathes the cabin in natural light and offers sweeping sky views throughout every journey.

Luxurious Cabin and Innovative Features

The cabin blends luxury and functionality. In the standard model, seats combine fabric and leather coverings, while the mid level and full option trims feature full PVC leather upholstery for an upscale ambiance. The standard trim provides an electrically adjustable driver’s seat; the mid level and full option trims add electric adjustment for the front passenger seat, memory settings, and seat ventilation to ensure comfort in hot GCC climates.

A 13.2 inch vertical touchscreen anchors the infotainment system, offering seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The fully digital instrument cluster displays essential driving information clearly within the driver’s line of sight. The full option model further elevates the cabin with wireless charging and ambient lighting, plus an eight speaker audio system, compared to six speakers in the mid level trim and four in the standard model, delivering a truly immersive listening experience.

Safety Systems and Driver Assistance

The standard model offers essential safety features, including an anti lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, a rearview camera, parking sensors, and two front airbags. Mid level and top tier models further enhance protection with a 540 degree surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and six airbags.

These higher trims also add forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, and highway driving assistance. Additionally, they feature door opening alerts when vehicles approach from behind and rear collision mitigation support, boosting driver confidence and passenger safety on Saudi Arabian roads.
