Nissan Motor Company is set to launch up to 30 new models in global markets, anticipated by 2026. Among these, 16 will feature electric engines. Nissan's CEO Makoto Uchida revealed during the company's three-year strategic roadmap announcement that, following the rollout of new models, 60% of Nissan's global internal combustion engine lineup will be updated, helping the company achieve its goal of increasing annual sales by one million units.

Additionally, Nissan aims to reduce the costs of the next generation of electric vehicles by 30%, paving the way for parity in costs between electric and internal combustion engine vehicles by 2030.

The official teaser video reveals a range of new models launching in the lineup. Though the video is somewhat vague, it's possible to distinguish some models by their LED light units and overall shape. The highlight of the new lineup includes electric crossovers that will replace the old Leaf models, the next generation of Micra based on the R5 platform, and what appears to be an all-electric Juke, along with the recently introduced Kicks.

In the background, numerous SUVs, several small trucks, and two low-height models are visible. There is also a mid-sized truck, along with various vehicles bearing the Infiniti brand. It is expected that the new generation of Patrol will be among them, preparing to compete with the Land Cruiser, and the upgraded Qashqai aimed at the European market. Additionally, it will include the upcoming small Elgrand specifically designed for the Japanese market and a new version of the Skyline. As they debut in different regions worldwide, Nissan will launch eight new models in China, all electric and hybrid, seven in the United States and Canada, six in Europe, five in Japan, five in the Middle East all of which are SUVs, and three in India. Three vehicles will be launched in Africa, including two SUVs and a small combustion engine vehicle. Moreover, two models will be launched in Oceania, comprising a one-ton pickup truck and a compact electric crossover.

Nissan will maintain an almost equal balance between internal combustion engine vehicles with 14 models and electric vehicles with 16 models over the next two years. Nissan states that its investment in electric vehicles will gradually increase to over 70% by 2026. The company has committed to introducing 34 electric models between 2024 and 2030, covering a full range of sectors. As a result, Nissan's global model lineup will be 40% electric by 2026 and rise to 60% by 2030.

Regions expected to have the highest rate of electric vehicles by 2026 include Japan, where 70% of the lineup will be hybrid and electric. Following that will be Europe, where the automaker aims for 40% of its passenger vehicle sales mix to be fully electric. American buyers will also have access to Nissan models equipped with self-charging e-Power hybrid technology and plug-in hybrid engines. In terms of electric vehicles, Nissan's goal is to reduce production costs, thus increasing profitability. To achieve this, they plan to develop electric cars with the aim of reducing costs by 30% compared to the current Nissan Ariya model. Nissan anticipates that by 2030, electric vehicles will achieve price parity with internal combustion engine vehicles (ICE).

Overall, Nissan aims to increase its annual sales figures by one million units by 2026 compared to 2023. This additional million is split into 330,000 extra units from North America, 200,000 units from China, 90,000 units from Japan, and approximately 300,000 additional units from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Oceania.
