Chinese automakers continue to strengthen their presence in Saudi Arabia by offering models that blend modern design, advanced features, and competitive pricing. Among the standout contenders in the compact crossover segment are the Kaiyi X3 2025 and the Jetour X50 2025, both aiming to meet the needs of drivers seeking a practical and economical vehicle without compromising on comfort or quality.

Each of these crossovers delivers a distinct experience in terms of exterior styling, cabin design, and performance. As a result, buyers face a detailed comparison shaped by their personal priorities and available budget, making this head to head evaluation an essential step before making a final decision.

European Design with a Modern Touch in the Kaiyi X3

The Kaiyi X3 2025, known in China as the Kaiyi Showjet, blends modern European styling with everyday practicality. Designed by the renowned Italian design house Pininfarina and built on the Chery Tiggo 5x platform, the X3 stands out with sleek lines and a dynamic silhouette that appeals to young drivers and small families seeking a stylish yet affordable vehicle.

Offered in Saudi Arabia through its official distributor, Taajeer Group, the Kaiyi X3 is available in two trims: the Luxury version priced at 57,385 SAR and the Flagship version priced at 59,685 SAR, both inclusive of VAT. Buyers also benefit from a generous warranty of six years or 200,000 kilometers, adding peace of mind for those prioritizing long term ownership support.

Under the hood, the Kaiyi X3 features a naturally aspirated 1.5 liter gasoline engine delivering 116 horsepower and 143 Nm of torque. Paired with a CVT transmission and front wheel drive, the vehicle offers a fuel efficiency rating of 16.3 kilometers per liter, making it a solid choice for daily commuting and economical driving.

The Flagship trim enhances the driving experience with features like a 10.25 inch media touchscreen, a 7 inch digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning with a PM2.5 filter, synthetic leather seats, and a 4 speaker sound system. On the safety front, it includes two airbags, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, and an under engine protective cover that supports durability across varying road conditions.

Jetour X50 2025: Enhanced Power and Advanced Tech

On the other side of the comparison, the Jetour X50 2025 steps in with striking exterior styling penned by the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina. Known in the Chinese market as the Soueast DX5, the vehicle is offered in Saudi Arabia by the National Supplies Company in two trims, with the Premium variant standing out at a tax inclusive price of 67,990 SAR.

Under the hood, the X50 is powered by a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine that delivers 154 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a six speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). This powertrain gives the vehicle a noticeable edge in performance over its rival, while maintaining impressive fuel efficiency of 17.5 km per liter. With a 57 liter fuel tank, the X50 is well suited for both city driving and long road trips.

Inside the cabin, the Jetour X50 offers an upscale experience with natural leather seats, a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, and an equally sized infotainment screen. Additional amenities include a 6 speaker audio system, wireless charging, and electrically adjustable driver seat. The tech package is rounded out with a 360 degree camera, hill descent assist, full Apple CarPlay support, and multiple driving modes that enhance the driving experience.

Safety is another area where the X50 excels, offering six airbags, blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and keyless smart entry. The vehicle also comes with a five year or 150,000 km basic warranty, plus an exceptional extended engine warranty of 10 years or up to one million kilometers for the first owner, giving buyers added peace of mind.
