The third-generation Qin, marketed in China as the Qin L, was officially announced just before the Beijing Auto Show. The powertrain of the BYD Qin features a 1.5 L BYD476ZQA I4 turbo petrol engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. The hybrid drivetrain utilizes an E-CVT transmission and is classified as a plug-in hybrid. The vehicle is equipped with a BYD Blade LFP battery, available in two capacities: 10.08 kWh and 15.87 kWh. In terms of dimensions, the Qin has a wheelbase of 2,790 mm (109.8 in), a length of 4,830 mm (190.2 in), a width of 1,900 mm (74.8 in), and a height of 1,495 mm (58.9 in). The vehicle's curb weight ranges from 1,660 to 1,800 kg (3,660 to 3,968 lb).
