2024 Hyundai Sonata in-depth Walkaround
The 2024 Hyundai Sonata starts at $28,650 and features a refreshed design. The previous funky daytime running lights that ran parallel to the hood have been replaced with a new design that spans the width of the front bumper. Additionally, the rear bumper cover and taillights have been redesigned, while the most significant updates are found within the vehicle.
ENGINE
The 2024 Sonata is powered by a turbocharged DOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine with a displacement of 98 in³ (1598 cm³). It produces 180 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm.
TRANSMISSION
The vehicle features an 8-speed automatic transmission.
CHASSIS
The suspension system includes struts with coil springs and an anti-roll bar at the front, and multilink with coil springs and an anti-roll bar at the rear. According to the EPA, the Sonata delivers a combined fuel economy of 31 mpg, with 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
