Hey car enthusiasts, how do you guys shift gears with a 1.3L manual? 2nd gear at 20-40, 3rd at 40-60, 4th at 60-80, and 5th above 80!

2008 Yaris 1.6 automatic, driven 130,000 km. Now, when the engine is cold, it can't shift from 3rd to 4th gear, and it can't accelerate beyond 70 km/h.

Is it a problem with the gearbox if sometimes the 4th gear won't shift down to the 3rd gear in a 2015 Honda City with a manual transmission? Waiting online for someone knowledgeable about cars to answer.

Hi everyone, when I'm accelerating with my FJ and shifting gears, I notice that the shift from 4th to 5th gear feels more pronounced and abrupt. Is this normal? There are no error codes. It's not noticeable during normal driving, but if I deliberately pay attention to each gear shift, I can feel a slight jolt from 4th to 5th. To notice this, I have to keep the throttle steady without releasing or pressing it more. During the 4th to 5th shift, there's a noticeable abrupt feeling. However, if I ease off the throttle during the 4th to 5th shift, there's no issue at all. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Does the S gear shift up and down? Why can it only be in 1st gear and not in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear?
