The Toyota Land Cruiser makes its comeback to the U.S. market this year after a two-year hiatus.
The base 1958 model starts at $55,950 and features distinctive round LED headlights that make it easy to differentiate from other variants. Standard equipment includes heated cloth seats, a smart key system, blind-spot monitoring, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch digital display. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also available.
The 58 version shares the same 2.4-liter hybrid i-FORCE MAX engine with 326 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque as the more expensive models. The vehicle comes with standard all-wheel drive, a central lock and rear differential lock, a two-speed transmission, and crawl control.
Buyers who prefer camping may want to upgrade to the $61,950 Land Cruiser, which features rectangular headlights, power SofTex seats, a 12.3-inch display cluster, and infotainment screens. It also offers a 10-speaker sound system and a power liftgate, adding some extra features that may be useful for towing or off-roading.
An optional Premium package adds ventilated leather seats, a 14-speaker JBL sound system, and a digital rearview mirror. It also provides a heads-up display, a power sunroof, and a cooling box in the center console. Finally, integrating the best of the mid-spec Cruiser with the highest quality, the $74,950 First Edition will feature the round headlights from 1958 along with 18 unique features.
