First, park the vehicle safely and turn off the engine, ensuring the hood is closed. Then, turn on the ignition switch and quickly turn it off or remove the key. Within 10 seconds, pull the wiper lever to the lowest position, and the wipers will enter maintenance mode, allowing you to lift the wiper arms. Be aware that if the vehicle has an automatic wiper recognition feature, it should be turned off first to prevent damage to the wiper blades if ice on the windshield hasn’t been completely removed.
When using the wipers to clean dust from the windshield in sunny weather, make sure to spray glass cleaner to avoid dry wiping. If it’s lightly raining, wait until the wipers and windshield are wet before activating them. For stubborn dirt on the glass, clean it manually first to avoid damaging the wiper blades, which could affect their performance and significantly shorten the lifespan of the wiper motor.
During car washes and routine cleaning, hold the wiper blade's spine correctly and gently place it back in position, avoiding prolonged exposure in the sun. Before use, clean any mud and debris from the wiper rubber, and spray water on the glass first. Choose high-quality automotive glass cleaner; during heavy rain, avoid using the wipers and clear the windshield of water and snow before turning off the engine.
