Audi has officially pulled the covers off the all new 2026 A6 Sedan in Europe, introducing a sharper and more refined evolution of its classic executive model. Drawing inspiration from the A7, this latest generation maintains the A6's familiar sedan identity while embracing sleeker lines and a futuristic presence. While the A6 Avant joins the lineup in Europe, Audi has no current plans to offer it outside the region. Meanwhile, the A6 Sedan is confirmed to arrive in US showrooms in the second half of 2025.
The car’s revamped design emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency, featuring a wide Singleframe grille, angular LED headlights, and a notchback style rear that enhances airflow and modern aesthetics. The result is a bolder visual statement that reflects Audi’s commitment to innovation without compromising on executive sophistication.
Unmatched Aerodynamics in the All New Audi A6
The 2026 A6 Sedan boasts the lowest drag coefficient ever seen in an Audi model powered by an internal combustion engine, achieving an impressive figure of 0.23. This performance surpasses even the A6 Avant’s 0.25 rating. Aerodynamic efficiency is boosted through a revised roofline, active front air curtains, a sleek rear diffuser, and a carefully integrated underbody airflow system.
In Europe, the A6 will be available with a range of 2.0 liter four cylinder engines in both petrol and diesel variants, all supported by mild hybrid systems. A 3.0 liter V6 will also be offered without electrification. For the US market, Audi simplifies the offering with a single 3.0 liter TFSI V6 engine producing 362 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7 speed dual clutch S tronic transmission, this setup includes quattro all wheel drive as standard, with the option of a sport differential for added agility.
Premium Tech Cabin with Refined Comfort
Built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) shared with the A5, the 2026 A6 offers a blend of performance and refinement. Buyers can opt for adaptive air suspension and all wheel steering, while wheel sizes range from 19 to 21 inches for a sportier stance.
Inside, the A6 delivers a premium digital experience with an 11.9 inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 14.5 inch central infotainment touchscreen. An optional 10.9 inch passenger display and head up display elevate in cabin interaction. Other highlights include a Bang & Olufsen sound system with up to 20 speakers, four zone climate control, and soft close door functionality.
Audi reports a 30 percent improvement in cabin sound insulation compared to the outgoing model, ensuring a quieter and more relaxing ride, especially on highways. Production of the A6 Sedan is already underway in Neckarsulm, Germany. While European deliveries are expected to begin in summer 2025 with a starting price of €55,500 (231,540 AED), US buyers may face pricing complications due to a 25 percent import tariff, with the official launch planned for later in the year.
