At SAIC-GM-Wuling’s "Technology Evolution Day 2025" in China, the all new Baojun Xiangjing flagship sedan made its official debut. Pre orders have begun in the Chinese market with competitive pricing starting at 132,800 Yuan (AED 66,703). This full size sedan blends dynamic aesthetics with refined comfort and offers two main powertrain choices: a fully electric version and a plug in hybrid, highlighting the brand’s commitment to sustainability and cutting edge innovation.
Sleek, Modern Design with a Distinctive Touch
Sleek lines and a sloping roof emphasize Xiangjing’s modern character while maintaining the stature of a luxury sedan. Measuring 5005 mm in length, it presents a bold presence on the road. The EV version features a closed front grille and elegant LED headlights, while the PHEV variant boasts an open grille and a continuous LED light bar for a sportier and more aggressive appearance.
Aerodynamic wheels with a semi closed design, flush door handles, body colored side mirrors, and chrome side skirt trim add to its premium profile. At the rear, connected LED taillights give a wider visual stance, and a striking yellow body color option caters to drivers who value bold style.
Technology and Comfort Harmonized in the Cabin
Inside, the Xiangjing offers a blend of sophistication and high tech convenience. A central 15.6 inch touchscreen dominates the dashboard, paired with a digital instrument cluster. The leather wrapped, flat bottom steering wheel features multifunctional controls, while ambient gold accents enhance the cabin’s elegant ambiance. Buyers can choose from three interior color schemes: black, white, and royal purple.
Comfort is prioritized through a 10 way power adjustable driver’s seat with three memory presets and a 6 way electric front passenger seat. A dedicated rear seat control allows backseat passengers to adjust the front seat position. Rear seats offer two recline settings: 25 and 30 degrees. An electric tailgate with height memory and a 476 liter trunk complete the package.
Advanced Technology and Performance for the Road Ahead
Baojun Xiangjing features the advanced “Lingmu Intelligent Driving 3.0” system, offering functions like intelligent navigation from parking spot to parking spot and remote self parking. This system utilizes a suite of sensors and processors capable of delivering up to 500 Tera Operations per Second (TOPS), ensuring smoother and safer driving.
Performance wise, the electric model delivers 186 kW and 310 Nm of torque, powered by a 69.2 kWh battery with up to 600 km range and fast charging capability. The plug in hybrid variant pairs a 105 kW turbocharged petrol engine with a 160 kW electric motor, supported by a 20.5 kWh battery offering a 140 km electric range and fuel consumption of just 4.8 L/100 km once the battery is depleted.
To ensure a smooth and stable ride, the sedan features MacPherson struts at the front and multi link rear suspension, co developed with Motimati. FSD adaptive dampers respond automatically to road conditions. Targeting competitors like the Changan Qiyuan A07 and Dongfeng eπ007, the Baojun Xiangjing is attractively priced between ¥132,800 and ¥155,800 (AED 66,703 - 78,265), with added value through promotional offers and incentives.
